Johanna comes from the autonomous Finnish province of Åland is located in the Baltic Sea, at the southern end of the Gulf of Bothnia between mainland Finland and Sweden. Johanna has been running the restaurant Pub Stallhagen, at The Åland Islands since 2010, together with her husband Christian. Pub Stallhagen is linked to the Brewery Stallhagen, which produces craft beers of different types.

”My heart is burning for local, organic produce and proximity to the producers. I mostly cook as grandma would do it. I want my food to be pure and honest, and that it shall be good for you, not just in taste” says Johanna.

2012 – Pub Stallhagen received New Nordic Food Åland and the Association of Åland Producer Unions

2014 – Johanna Dahlgren received the Finnish Swedish Martha’s Association’s Food Culture Grant. With the motivation that we use local ingredients chosen with care and cooked with love and consideration for sustainability.

2016 – Johanna was appointed Food ambassador of Åland.
